For AI agents

Read the site, or act for a pet sitter

AI assistants are welcome here. Two doors, depending on whether you are acting for someone with a Paw Planner account.

1. Read the site

Start with /llms.txt (summary) or /llms-full.txt (everything). These pages have a Markdown twin: add .md to the path, or send Accept: text/markdown to the HTML URL.

2. Act for a Paw Planner user (MCP)

Paw Planner is an MCP server. A user on the AI plan connects you from their side: they add the URL below in their client and approve it once on pawplannerai.com. You then act as them and see only their clients, bookings, miles and money.

https://pawplannerai.com/api/v1/mcp

OAuth 2.1 with PKCE and dynamic client registration. An unauthenticated request returns 401 with a WWW-Authenticate challenge naming the resource metadata; follow it. Discovery: /.well-known/oauth-protected-resource/api/v1/mcp and /.well-known/oauth-authorization-server. Streamable HTTP, JSON responses, tools only.

Dates are YYYY-MM-DD, times HH:MM, money USD, miles are round trips from the sitter's home. Call list_clients first for ids. delete_bookingneeds the user's confirmation.

  • list_clients — your clients with pets and contact details; call first for ids
  • get_client — one client in full with lifetime totals and recent bookings
  • create_client — add a client; the street address is what mileage measures to
  • add_pet — add a pet to a client with breed, age, weight and care notes
  • list_bookings — upcoming or past bookings with pay, status and round-trip miles
  • get_booking — one booking in full with the client and pets
  • create_booking — book a visit; mileage, drive time and Google Calendar sync happen automatically
  • update_booking — edit date, times, service, price, status or notes; only passed fields change
  • mark_paid — record that a booking was paid
  • cancel_booking — cancel a booking and keep it in history
  • delete_booking — delete a booking permanently, only after you confirm
  • business_summary — the dashboard: revenue, miles, deduction, unpaid, next seven days
  • mileage_report — deductible round-trip miles for a year or range, every trip listed
  • revenue_report — revenue by service type and client, paid and unpaid, for a period
  • list_unpaid — completed bookings nobody has paid for yet, with the total owed
  • list_service_rates — your saved default rates and the service types you use
  • grade_booking — the AI gig grade (A to F) with its rationale

The setup guide for people

No anonymous API

Every record belongs to a pet sitter and is private to them, so there is nothing to read without an account. An agent that needs a sitter's data connects over MCP with that sitter's approval. The REST API under https://pawplannerai.com/api/v1/is the web app's own; the MCP tools are the supported surface for agents.
