Paw Planner logs and exports; the sitter's preparer files. ## Claude connector (MCP) Paw Planner is an MCP server. A user on the AI plan connects Claude (or Claude Code, Cursor, any MCP client with OAuth) to their own account and the agent acts as them. - MCP endpoint: https://pawplannerai.com/api/v1/mcp (Streamable HTTP, JSON responses, tools only) - Auth: OAuth 2.1 with PKCE and dynamic client registration. Discovery: https://pawplannerai.com/.well-known/oauth-protected-resource/api/v1/mcp and https://pawplannerai.com/.well-known/oauth-authorization-server - An unauthenticated request to the endpoint returns 401 with a WWW-Authenticate challenge naming the resource metadata; follow it. - Scope: the connected user's own clients and bookings only. delete_booking requires the user's confirmation. Dates are YYYY-MM-DD, times HH:MM, money USD, miles are round trips. - Guide for people: https://pawplannerai.com/claude Tools: - list_clients: your clients with pets and contact details; call first for ids - get_client: one client in full with lifetime totals and recent bookings - create_client: add a client; the street address is what mileage measures to - add_pet: add a pet to a client with breed, age, weight and care notes - list_bookings: upcoming or past bookings with pay, status and round-trip miles - get_booking: one booking in full with the client and pets - create_booking: book a visit; mileage, drive time and Google Calendar sync happen automatically - update_booking: edit date, times, service, price, status or notes; only passed fields change - mark_paid: record that a booking was paid - cancel_booking: cancel a booking and keep it in history - delete_booking: delete a booking permanently, only after you confirm - business_summary: the dashboard: revenue, miles, deduction, unpaid, next seven days - mileage_report: deductible round-trip miles for a year or range, every trip listed - revenue_report: revenue by service type and client, paid and unpaid, for a period - list_unpaid: completed bookings nobody has paid for yet, with the total owed - list_service_rates: your saved default rates and the service types you use - grade_booking: the AI gig grade (A to F) with its rationale Setup in Claude: 1. In Claude, open Settings, then Connectors, then Add custom connector. 2. Paste https://pawplannerai.com/api/v1/mcp as the URL and save. 3. Click Connect. You land on pawplannerai.com, sign in if you need to, and click Allow once. 4. Ask Claude something. It only sees your own clients and bookings. Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http pawplanner https://pawplannerai.com/api/v1/mcp What it can see: - List your clients and their pets, with contact details and care notes - Your bookings: upcoming, past, by client, by status, with pay and round-trip miles - Revenue and mileage for today, this week, this month and this year, and who has not paid - A mileage report for any year or date range at the IRS rate, every trip listed - Revenue by service type and by client for any period - Book, edit, cancel or mark a visit paid; add a client or a pet - The AI gig grade for a booking: $/hour once the drive is counted - Delete a booking only after you say yes in the chat Example questions: - “What do I have tomorrow, and how many miles will I drive?” - “Who still owes me for October?” - “How many deductible miles have I logged this year, and what is that worth?” - “Book a 30-minute dog walk for Bella on Friday at 9am.” - “Which of my clients is the most profitable once you count the drive?” FAQ: - Q: Which plan includes the Claude connector? A: The AI plan, the same one that turns on the gig grader and AI drafts. It is enabled per account; a free account sees what the connector is and how to ask for it. - Q: What can Claude change in my account? A: Book, edit, cancel or mark a visit paid, and add clients and pets, with the same mileage calculation, Google Calendar sync and activity log the app applies. Deleting a booking asks for your confirmation first. It cannot change your profile, password or plan. - Q: Can Claude see other sitters’ clients? A: No. The connection is to your account and sees exactly what you see: your clients, your bookings, your miles. - Q: How do I disconnect it? A: Settings, then Claude connector, then Disconnect next to the app. That revokes its access immediately. Removing the connector inside Claude works too. - Q: Does it work with Claude Code, Cursor or other MCP clients? A: Yes. Paw Planner is a standard MCP server with OAuth, so any client that supports remote MCP servers with authorization can connect. The URL is the same. - Q: Is this tax advice? A: No. Claude reports the round-trip miles logged in Paw Planner at the IRS standard rate. Take the numbers to whoever files your Schedule C. ## Agents without an account There is no anonymous API: every record belongs to a pet sitter and is private to them. An agent that needs a sitter's data connects over MCP with that sitter's approval (above). The REST API under https://pawplannerai.com/api/v1/ is the web app's own and is not a supported agent surface; the MCP tools are. ## Links - Sign up: https://pawplannerai.com/register?src=llms - Claude connector: https://pawplannerai.com/claude - For AI agents: https://pawplannerai.com/ai - Privacy: https://pawplannerai.com/privacy · Terms: https://pawplannerai.com/terms - Markdown pages: https://pawplannerai.com/index.md, https://pawplannerai.com/claude.md, https://pawplannerai.com/ai.md
